Azaz Amber Glass Diamond Bead on Cord

Pippa Small’s Azaz Collection are glass beads in tones of teal, amber, and rose and were inspired by ancient stone beads that have been worn, handled, and loved for centuries; altering the shape of the bead over time. The Azaz collection feels both ancient and modern, pendants of clusters of bean, seed and pod shapes, strings of uneven beads. Pippa Small is very proud to partner with the talented Mohammad Twam and his family and to work with this beautiful craft and we are very proud to stock them. Palestinian glassblower Mohammad Twam is a master of his craft, an artist who has been working in his field for nearly 40 years now. Glassblowing has a long history in Palestine, particularly in the city of Hebron. Glassblowing requires patience and takes a long time to master before one can skilfully shape the glass. Twam’s years of experience and extreme patience brings the Azaz Collection to life.
